Here's to a Start

Welcome to this new blog. My name is Bobby, and I am a huge fan of the New York Yankees. I have started this blog to experience blogging and become more familiar with journalism, but most importantly, to have fun. On this blog, I will write my thoughts on any topic in baseball, not just the Yankees. I hope you enjoy reading baseball material based on the opinion of a teenager, as I am sure my opinions will differ from those of my readers.

Just a little background on me. I am in high school and have been a fan of the Yanks since I was 7 years of age. I can remember my first game at Yankee Stadium to this day: a hot July afternoon game against the Orioles. The Yankees won 13-9 behind homers from my favorite player, Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and David Justice's first shot as a Yank. I also attended game 6 of the 2003 ALCS, the night before the great Aaron "Bleepin" Boone homer against Boston. Every summer, I travel to Baltimore and attend a few Yankees-Orioles games at beautiful Camden Yards. I can only hope the new Yankee Stadium is as beautiful as Camden Yards.

The real writing begins tomorrow. Spring Training Game #5 tomorrow: Yankees at Reds!

5 Weeks 'til Opening Night!
